"We've just moved into a street near one of your factories. We thought you made health products, but now I've found out you use radioactive materials. Doesn't sound too healthy to me." - The Neighbour

We do use small amounts of short-lived radioactive materials in products that are injected into people to diagnose and treat disease and in research for new treatments. These products work because of the unique properties of radioactivity. Our sites are tightly regulated and operate within strict legal limits for safe discharge. The health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we work is our highest priority.

We have decades of experience in operating our sites safely and we’re continually working on new waste recovery and recycling techniques that will further reduce our impact on the environment. After all, we’re in the business of improving health and we won’t take risks with the health of our neighbours.
